Argyll Hope Spot
Posted
Last year I had the pleasure of being chosen as one of the artists in residence for the Argyll Hope Spot artist snorkling residency.
The Argyll Coast and Islands Hope Spot is a community-led celebration of the world-class natural riches of this part of Scotland. It is the first Mission Blue Hope Spot in mainland UK. The Argyll Hope Spot aims to celebrate, recognise and support life above and below the waves. Through artists residencies, they hope to bring a range of audiences closer to the incredible world hidden beneath the surface.
I have been creating a series of new tracks and podcast episodes in response to my time and experience at the residency.
Here is a sonic collage I created called Snorkling. I wanted to create something that speaks for our ocean that cannot speak for itself. That makes the unseen seen and captures individuals sense of awe and wonder.
Sounds for the environment
- Underwater - Bodies of Water
- Snorkling
The other track in this list is ‘Underwater’ a piece I created for ‘Bodies of Water’ the track follows the journey of water. The show will be touring again in 2025. Dates and more info soon to follow.
